I thought your post said "before the other dogs with him bark". Not that he goes 300 yds and doesn't bark?
Keep us posted on this hunt. Should be fun.

We have to plan this for a week in September. I'm closing and have three weeks to get the renovations completed on the new and old house (for the new renters). Thats the only reason this female is for sale in this thread.

Eddy, You are a trip and i like getting you fired up. I know you have to have some really nice hounds. i have heard that Tuna is pretty nice. It doesn't matter what dogs is better, the important part of this is we all get to have a chance to hang out and watch the dogs burn up a few rabbits and laugh about or post that we have had back in forth over the last year. You will not hear me brag about Sport if he out runs your dogs or vice-versa. I just think us geting an opertunity to throw down some nice dogs speaks for everything. This all adds a little hype, and brings out all of the fun....

Terry, your ticket will cost you double!

Jfields, the female's price will not change. thanks for the offer, but i will not sell her any cheaper than that.

Vicky,
I have seen Sport jump a rabbit and hit it so hard and fast that it is all another dog or pack can do to catch him. He will put that much distance on before other dogs can figure out where he even went. Sure its not everytime, but he has that type of instinct out of the check. he hits and goes so fast that it is cool to watch. When he is running with better dogs it might not happen like this everytime, but if any dog wonders out side the check area and isn't paying attention to old sport they will miss half the race because they are playing catch up. Sport isn't the fastest dog around by any means, but his ability to leave the check area fast is what makes him look good.

Catfish you have to know what i'm talking about. I know you have seen him hit a check and fly like the wind.

I would like to bring a few as well and see what happens in the check area. Maybe I get can get in on the third run. What say you? I have a couple that explode out of the check area but don't hold back any mouth so the pack should join in quick unless they are in the next field. :D

Terry, you can use my golden buckeye card to get tickets half price!

I hope that the tension is over with and we can run dogs together. I was at the Ultimate Dog Challenge One and would like to see the second one. It would be great to see Tuna and Sport run one on one. I know they are both good dogs and I am sure both owners will walk away knowing they have dogs anyone would be proud to own! I like talking with Eddy – I always learn something about hounds. Steve also knows dogs and is always looking to improve the breed.

Then we should run the rest of the dogs. I might even bring a couple of my culls so they can get an education. I know they can explode out of the feed bowl to the water bucket, maybe they can transfer that to the check. After running with Thornie’s dogs my dogs stepped up a notch. His male wore out my 6 month old dog. I wish that male was here to throw in the mix.

Let me know where and when.

eddy i don't remember who i was talking to about Tuna, i just know that i have heard from a couple of people that Tuna was pretty good. It has been a while back. Is this the same dog that Johnl owned by any chance???? For some reason i was under the impression that johnl owned a dog named tuna or something weird like that. Eddy, you need to back off of the fans i have!

It will be a good time for sure!

Terry, I would like to see your dads dog run with these two dogs. I know he is band from the training grounds due to burning up the field. Your dad's dog and your female would do fine with these dogs.

Terry's dad dog (rebel) is ready to step up. Terry and I haven't ran him with Sport becasue we have been waiting for him to mature. He will have no problem holding his ground. IF he acts like Levi it may take him about an hour or so to figure out that he is in the big game. levi was lost for a few hours, but after that he wouldn't let sport leave him anymore.

Here you go terry. This is a pic of Rebel as a pup.

I am going to bring a 10 month old. Hope he is mature enough. ;)

Did you guys decide on a time or place yet?
I might ask Joe Diebold to bring his ARHA Grand Champ Blueback dog Diebold's Lil Dutchman. I'd to see him run with your Sport dog. It would be interesting. Joe is always up for running.
Pat Diorio (Full Circle Kennels) has a nice dog UKC HBCH named Romeo. He has been wanting to run down this way as well. Maybe we could get a few more good hounds to join in and really compare.
Would be fun for sure.

SOLO, SOLO, SOLO! by the way did you see the puppy I just bought? Some of your favorites? Gonna start him with my Reggie- Lady pups.

I'm going to make this little get together simple. When i run sport with eddy it will be my dog and his dog. No confusion and no other dogs to get in the way. A 10 dog pack is why we are having this discussion in the first place.

If everyone wants to get together for a big run thats fine, just set it up.
