Yup, Oct 1 is the day. I sure wish we could get some rain though. If not, most of us ALabamians are going to be dissapointed in the running. I'll let you know in two weeks Blackdirt. IN the meantime, keep Stony straight. I know he needs guidance and someone to look up too. LOL

oUR SEASON STARTED SEPT 1. and runs to feb 28. Thats 6 months of rabbit hunting. Shot a couple for the pups. Good crop of rabbits this year. Dry as a bone all summer and taught the dogs to work hard and they did. Love them big noses. We got some rain and its pretty easy running now and will spoil the dogs. Good luck!

Shot a couple last weekend, but the highlight was 3 hrs. on one rabbit. Never did get it and I'm glad. Had another right after that one that gave em' a good workout too. Don't know if the coyotes been teaching these cottontails how to act like snowshoes or we just got into a couple of good ones. Should be another good year in sw mi.

Oct 1 here in Indiana on state ground. I ran there yesterday just to check it out. Still some small ones about as big as your hand. The cover is still very thick due to so much rain. I think its going to take pushin them hard to drive them out of the thick stuff if your interested in killin.

In Michigan the season kicked off September 15.The conditions have been great and the dogs have been just flat smokin them bunnies. The only problem is the only difference is you can carry a weapon. There are so many leaves left you don't see the bunnies very long or not at all.
