Good job Mason. Did you take any pics?

I never thought of or heard of using a balloon. I might have to try that.

no pics. i hit him he crumpled like hed been kicked in the gut. let out a yelp and ran off. Went to finish the job and gun jammed. But ive been hitting a big gulp cup at about a hundred yards and he was an easier target...lol Id say he made it somewhere and laid downed. gonna go back with a better call and warm them up til i can get the Coyote DOGS after them. That should be an even better time.

Had a guy at the local store tell me about the balloon. Said you can call BobCats, Yotes, Foxes etc with it. Funny thing I was in the back of my pickup blew it up and squeeled it about four or five times in a row. THen just started scanning for movement. I had deer comin from all directions looking and then i saw him circling me. Gave me an easy shot. An electric call would be the bomb but just horsing around I guess I got lucky. No telling how many of them came in that I didnt see. This one was just too comfortable with his surroundings I guess.

It is addicting....I can see I am gonna have to make this a staple in my hunting routines...

What did you gut shoot him with? I shot one here awhile back in the gut with a 6mm Rugar and had to track him about 150 yards. Funny thing was nearly his entire liver was lying in the field where I poked him.

Mason,
You need to buy a .223 Rem, .220 Swift, 22-250, or a 6mm Rem for windy days. He won't get up I guarantee.
