registering a beagle

...on the ancestry of your new hound? This is your forum. Post your question and others will fill in the blanks for you. This is also a good forum for asking about particular hounds and bloodlines (past or present) when considering a breeding or purchase, or just breeding questions in general.

Without papers or proof of pedigree, you are fighting a loosing battle with the AKC. The good news is, ARHA/NKC and UKC will register you dog. Just take it to a local trial, they can furnish the paperwork and usually have breed inspectors on site. I would also encourage checking out their websites. Each has a bulletin board addressing this subject and down loadable PDF forms. Both sites also list upcoming trials and hunts, so you can find a location near you.

Now the dumb question. Do you still have contact with the breeder? If so, they may be able to assist you. Good luck.
Dogs don't have to look good to win tittles, but conformation "enhances their chances"!
