i very seldom shoot a rabbit but if i do i usually use a old 12 ga 870 with a 28 in mod barell it patterns great with #6's also i use a 20 ga, with a imp cyl in a 870 i had the imp cyl drilled out its more of a open choke now it is lighter than the old 12 ga, i only shot one rabbit last year n it was with a 223 at 187 yds was coyote looking dogs brought one through this big valley fill n it stopped n let it have it jb

Just like duece I don't shoot a lot of rabbits but when I do: mossberg, 12ga., barrel cut to 21 inches approx. easy to go through the woods with and when I do shoot the short barrel doesn't mess the rabbit up, usually only land a couple of pellets.

Remington spartan .410 / .22 over under

I like this gun because it gives you the option to make the standing head shot if the rabbit stops.

I love my Benelli 12 guage double barrell, but I have alot more fun with my semi-auto .22 rifle. Hard to do, but that is what makes it fun :D

I bought a tri-star o/u 20 gage last year and it is great. Modified choke and full choke both at your fingertips all weighing only 5.4 lbs. It is the hunter light sieries you can buy them at fin feathers and fur or cabelas.

Light weight 20ga. side by side sawed off barrel. I shot a browning light 12ga. for years. As I got older the browning got heavier.

Remington 870 Express in 28 guage. Dogs ran down to many with a 410 and a 12 can make a mess also. I like the 870 cause it is a simple design that hardly ever fails even in unfavorable conditions like handling muddy dogs and then your gun. If it gets beat up it don't ruin your day either.
