I would check to see the temperature in there, they could have gotten to hot. Or a snake. I would look around for a snake...

Danny,
dogs don't sweat. Is it possible the bull dog had something to do with it? Maybe the sweat was slobber??

Vet

Post by JUDE »

Danny , you should have a vet check out the dead pups . It seems you have a lot of bad bad luck . Do check the temperature as well . Let us know what happened , this worries me . I've seen cholera take out game cocks that quick , never heard of pups having cholera but I'd never heard of them taking coccidiosis until lately (gamecocks have had it for years) . Sorry for the loss .

Man you cant get a break can u. I am treating coccidiosis in all of my adult dog now vet said it was very contagios. A couple of them ate some baby woodcocks but treating them all. The ones that had it had serverly bloody stool. Best of luck Danny hope you dont lose any more pups.

This might help. I had Beagle pups in with a Collie pup same age and found two of the six where dead. Took them to a Vet the Vet said that the pups where roughed up to much and had some internal Bleeding. When the Collie pup would Play with them he Played to hard and Busted them up inside. As soon as I moved the Collie the rest of the pups all lived. That Bull Dog pup Might be Playing to rough with them. Hope this Helps.

Sorry to hear this. I'd isolate the bull dog pup immediately and take one of the dead pups to the vet just in case it's something else. It would be $ well spent.

WELL,THE BULLIE WAS THE SAME SIZE AS THE BEAGLE PUPS,IF ANYTHING,THEY GOT THE BEST OF HIM,IT SEEMS LIKE THESE THINGS ALWAYS HAPPEN ON THE WEEKENDS WHEN I CAN'T GET TO A VET,I WOULD SAY THAT THE PUPS GOT SOME BAD 8 IN 1 SHOTS,I BOUGHT THEM FROM A LOCAL FEED STORE,THE BULLIE HAD ALL HIS SHOTS AT THE VET,SEE,HE IS THE PICK OF LITTER I GOT FROM MY MALE AND THE LADY THAT HAD THE LITTER ALWAYS TAKES HER PUPS TO THE VET AND LETS HIMTAKE CARE OF EVERYTHING,EXPENSIVE TO SAY,BUT LOOK AT THE RESULT,HE IS FINE AND I GOT CHEAP NOW I AM PAYING THE PRICE,I WILL NEVERE BUY SHOT FROM STORES AGAIN,SURE THEY ARE CHEAPER BUT THEN YOU HAVE THIS HAPPEN.

I had reactions too from a feed store vaccine. Usually this is due to the Lepto fraction. Buy your vaccine at revival or omaha vaccine and you'll have better luck. Best not to use lepto in young puppies and always do it during vet hours and during a time you can monitor the puppies.

sorry you lost them.
