loss of a good one

Post by uplander44 »

Some of you may remember about a year ago,I posted about going to Arkansas and getting a nice little female directly out Mark V's Ace In The Hole named Smith's Ruby Ann from Swing.Later in July when she delivered the litter of Pups out of TK's Round Mountain Jake we all enjoyed the Pictures that Pz Trailman posted as she weaned the pups and their progress.Well I regret to say that Ruby was struck by a car and killed Saturday May 12th.Ruby certainly was a nice little female and she proved to be everything that Swing and Tony said she would be.I thank God that I got to enjoy her for a year and the two nice litters or pups we got out of her.She certainly will be missed, and hard if not impossible to replace since all dogs directly out of Ace are now getting old,but thats part of life with Beagling.I would have liked to got a couple more good litters out of her. Thanks Vic

Sorry to hear about that. A lot of good dogs seem to die by a car.

Sorry to hear that man. I know what it is like to loose a member of your kennel that is irreplacable as my bro had that happen a few months ago. These hounds we have and hunt are special to us and when you loose a good one, it is rough.

Vic,
I hate to hear that. I was really looking foward to breeding my Joe dog to her and getting a pup. It seems like all the good ones get killed before their time.. Once again sorry for your loss I know how hard it is to loose that special hound...

Man, that sucks. I have seen her run when Swing had her. She sure was a fine hound. Honest mouth, good line control, all in all a really good dog. I told Swing if he ever got rid of her that I wanted her. But I couldn't afford what he got for her.... anyway. I feel for your loss. Sometime is just doesn't seem fair.
