Ivermectin horse wormer???

Post by tinymwoods »

Any one ever used the Ivermectin horse worming paste for their beagles? I know people who have used the injectable with good sucess, and the paste seems easier. If so, what is the dosage?

Thanks, Mike

I know a guy that has used it for years and it hasn't harmed his dogs. He's never broken down the dosage though, he just gives them what he "thinks" is enough. Just keep using the liquid and squirt it onto a piece of bread. If you get a real finnicky hound then put a little peanut butter on there. Mine don't even need the peanut butter, they chomp the bread right down. I did have one that you had to put a little peanut butter on there though.

If you do a search here someone already did the math. I didnt see how it was easier or cheaper.jmo the tube is set for a 1100 lb animal and you dial down to a % of that. good luck. I mix the injectable with gatoraid

Here is another link for ya.

The dosage for the 1% Ivomec that I use is 1/10cc per 10lbs of weight.

So a 20lb beagle would get .20cc or a 1/4 cc.
