Folks, this post is turning into a he said she said and I just haven't seen any facts to even determine that there was any poisoning going on. Not once have I seen any mention of a toxicology report from the VETS office or a description of any of these sick dogs having any signs of bleeding from the mouth, gums or rectum. Rat poison is a chemical that prohibits or henders blood clotting and the animal bleeds to death but I haven't read anything is any of this information to describe these symptoms. Yes, some years ago I accidently killed one of my wifes dogs and my best beagle when I put rat poison out and they got iout of the kennel and into it. I found the wifes collie laying dead out in the yard by the trash barrel and the very next day when runnoing my beagle she was bleeding from the rectum. The collie showed no signs of anything wrong but the beagle was bleeding from the rectum but still ran rabbits ALL day long and died that night in the dog box. I wouldn't get any panties in a wad either way unless there is a toxicology report that can specifically identify an foreign chemical in the dogs system. Anything less than that is pure speculation be it from the VET or anyone else and speculation will not stand up in a court of law or in the minds of peers.

Swimmers aren't running though thick brush either. I think its irresponsible to shave off the coat of a dog that needs it for protection from the bushes and especially the elements (heat/cold) I'm assuming they shave the whole body? yuk!

They didn't shave all of their hair off, they just trimmed it because they thought it would help them be a little cooler since it was so hot up there. Don't know if it helped or was worth the trouble, but that was there reasoning.

Ok, so are we talkin shaved all the way down or just trimmed? I can see trimming some hair if you want but, not shaving down a beagle. Maybe they should clear the brush that would lessen the drag more.. LOL

Was that one of those beagle-collie crosses that was too shaggy to pass inspection? ;)

for the record

i do have the actual autopsey report from the vet,he did not do an actual toxicology on him, when i asked why he said it would be a waste of time,he knew what it was when he opened his lungs up.

he had a piece of a rawhide chew in his stomach, where it came from i do not know but i dought it would have been from the world hunt,it may be unrelated totaly.

i still have no internet service at my home and really don't care if i ever do,that is about the same way i feal about trialing in arha,i love the format and enjoy the people but just can't see working my butt of getting a dog ready and rolling out judges into my cast and getting the treatment that we got at the world, everyone is bitching about the cheating and even the big shots at arha stated that something has to be done,i am not pointing fingers at any judge or state in general, truth is no one group was inocent and like arha and a lot of people have said, this is the worst world hunt ever as far as all the cheating that supposively went on,true there is two sides to every story but anyone that says that cheating did not happen is a liar and a fool.

back to the topic of dozer, bottom line is he is dead,he only had one litter,he was bred four times twice did not take and the other bitch lost all the pups,he was due to be bred soon and actualy a couple guys had breedings coming from a auction at our club where stud services where auctioned off.he was a nice hound and will be missed.true he was not a big stud dog but i will say this

look back at the posts after the 05 world, everyone talked about how he kicked a$$,thats it.there was no talk of cheating then.

if anyone wants to see the vets report just ask me when you see me,i will gladly show it,just like i did this weekend at a akc hunt.

i wish this bickering would end and we could all get along, truth is i wanted to go to the ky state hunt but why would i now?
all it would be is trouble, thats it.

so like i have said before,i willnot respond due to i dont know when i will be online again but i am not pointing any fingers at anyone on this board.
as far as me shaving dozer,i trimmed his hair down some thursday evening at the world cause it was hot as hell and his coat was thick,i used a two inch attatchment when i did it,he was not shaved.

he was not sick before the hunt cause i took all my dogs to the vet one week before and had them all checked out they where all fine.

i will be at the ohio state hunt so idf anyone wants to see the report, just ask.if anyone wants to post it on here feal free to ask for a copy,i will give it to you and you can post it,i would appreciate if someone would do this for me,if anyone wants to speak with me feel free to call me at 740-821-5212.thanks
