Look at the post below under building above ground kennel. I posted pictures of my above ground kennels which also double as whelping boxes. The runners around the inside box keep the pups safe from mom laying on them and the opening going out into the wire pen run can be closed by simply standing the slats back up in place to keep mom from going out and leaving pups. I usually close her up at time of whelping and reopen after a day or so. Simple and cheap build from any lumber yard. $100.00 and maybe two evenings work. I would give you a material list and directions but I really didn't have any, just built it by ear. It does work great and if I ever build more they'll be exactly the same.
I would go with the Seneca Kennels. You can't hardly build a better box and kennel for the price. I have only had mine for a year, but I have heard that people have had them for years and they still look brand new. They are all aluminum and vinyl coated wire, so there is nothing to rust or rot. They are also extremely easy to clean inside after she has the pups. Being aluminum they are also extremely light so they are easy to move. It seems like everytime I build something you need a crane or forklift to move it. When my female was due to whelp this past year it turned very windy and cold, so I moved the kennel into my garage. My wife and I carried it very easily down around the hill and into the garage. I can lift it myself but it is a little bulky to carry. Ron will also custom build it if you want something a little different. Whatever you do I would make sure the box is well insulated. I hope this helps.

I would like to thank all of you for your help and suggestions.

I will check these suggestions out. Much appreciated everyone.
