Is anybody still huntin?

Post by gundog »

Season ended here in MO on Feb. 15. Just jealous of anybody who still can hunt. I wish the season here ran until Mar. 15. We don't usually start huntin till about Christmas cause of all the deer hunting goin on so I don't get enough in by Feb 15. Where are you located and when does your season close????

We can still hunt here in MI as well. Our season runs until March 31. It's been so cold here and snowing almost every day that the hunting has been bad. A balmy 15 degrees today though, I'm going to give it a try.

We are still running. I had the dogs out today. Runs were tight from pile to pile in and out of briar and red brush roll overs with snow. This time of year its amazing how tough your dogs are working in 3 feet of snow working under snow drifts. Its nice to once in awhile see these dogs that are usually charging out of the checks and driving rabbits hard to really having to search and buckle down to keep the tracks going in this kind of snow and cold. Things might get better this week its supposed to get up to 30 on Tuesday and continue into the week. They can't get any better in the kennel watching the snow fall.
