Nemex will treat for round and hook worm. That's all.

I would recommend that the dog be tested for heartworm PRIOR to treating with Ivomec.

Best of luck!!

What he said. If you've seen the worms, what do they look like? Safeguard and Canine All-Wormer are good ones too. Ivomec is mainly used for heartworms, but you should test beforehand.

Sounds like tapeworms. I would continue the as you always have. Unless the new worm meds had to be given at the time Ivmec was due. Then I would wait a couple weeks. Then stay on that schedule. JMHO

Are they flat segmented worms? If so, tapeworms are your problem. Get some Canine All Wormer or Safeguard, it's that simple.

Ivomectrin is a once a month treatment. As to when you can give it, it depends on when the last treatment of it was. One month after the last treatment. It doesn't matter how soon after the Nemex that you used. That being said, I usually try to get my heartworming on the first day of the month. That way I just have a bunch of things to do on the first and then it is done for the month... not trying to figure out what I did and to which dog and when I did it. But that is just me...
