I like my Blue dog. He is out of Turbo Powered by Prop and Talk about Blue Iris. Blue is a near FC he has 2 wins and 3 seconds. That has been in both southern large pack and midwest spo. He is also a dual champ in ukc and only needs 2 wins to be a dual grand. He also has placed in ukc performance pack and just won in arha little pack this weekend. By the way that little pack was his first one. I believe he is one of the hardest hunting dogs around and one heck of a good rabbit dog. He is the first one I grab to go rabbit hunting.

Wild hare, have you bred your male dog any? Is he a litter mate to grey valley talk about jasper?

I just buried the best gundog I've ever seen, Suddiths Mississippi Dan, he would run all day, every day, run almost check free, account for every rabbit and circle them back to the gun 99.9% of the time. We hunt every weekend during the season weather its 80 degrees or 14 below zero. and I don't think we have lost more than a couple rabbits a season when he is on the ground. I've seen 100's of dogs but never one as good as him as a gun dog. I have seen him run a rabbit on ice when it was 10 below zero when the rest of the pack could not even bark on the scent. jumpmaster, Blue is a full brother to him but not the same litter. Blue I believe was the last or next to last litter in that particular cross. I have seen many other dogs out of that cross and they all hunt very very hard. I also won the ukc elimanator with Blue last year. The conditions were tough. I believe it was around 5 degrees with frozen and hard packed snow. I watched Blue run a track for a good distance without the other dogs even smelling it. His nose is so good that it can get him in trouble in ukc. But ohwell I am going to finish him as a grand and then I am done with it. I am geared more towards Akc and Arha little pack.

The best all around gundog I have ever hunted over was Muskie Lake Eli he could easily be outrun when conditions warranted but when it counted he was simply the best there was. I have a daughter of his who is a superb gundog but I dont think she is as good as " THE OLD MAN".

Stinetime Ivy is the best I have ever seen run to this day... I would like to own one dog in my lifetime that pleases me as much as she does when I get to gun her. She probably isn't footy enough to finish as FC but her nose is second to none and she is a savy hunting dog that knows how to find rabbits. Unfortunately I don't own her
hounds... hare.... hunter.... bang... what gets better than that.

Mike I know you bred Dan several times. Did he pass on his strong traits or is it too early to come to a conclusion?

i would have to say a grade dog thatmy hunting buddy owned for several years, ole fatty, she died back in the summer at eight to ten years doing what she loved, she could make rabbits in places where other dogs had just went through and had more git down and dig than any thing i've ever gunned over.she lost one eye afew years back and had slowed down some but i'd 1000 bucks for her back when she was 3 or 4.she had no fancy nameor long ped. but she was a rabbit dog. so hres to ole fatty we missed her this a lot this year.

Sounds like a great dog. It means a whole lot more to me to hear someone brag up someone else's dog, rather than have someone talk about their world beater out in the pen by the house that is the best dog ever bred.

Ole Fatty sounds like the kind of dog that got me hooked on rabbit hounds for life. Here's to her!
