Farwell old friend!

Post by Adam M. O'Donnell »

Howard Eagleton (Murl Beagler) called me this morning and told me that his ARHA LP. Gr.R.Ch. McCutchen's Eastview Thumper died last night. I had the pleasure of running with Thumper last summer and hated to hear of his passing. Thumper was a super hard hunting dog with absolutely no quit! One of those once in a lifetime type dogs! Sorry for your loss Howard!!! I know he'll be missed! This dog was not only a great rabbit dog but he was really reproducing too!

Murl, I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my hound just last year around Christmas time. He was 10 years old and of similar breeding and looks to Thumper. If you loved Thumper half as much as I loved Redd, you loved him a lot. Here's a look:

(His ARHA pedigree sire was McCutcheon's Eastview Redhawk, I do believe)

Thanks Bev. Redd sure was a beautiful hound, and I like his pedigree. Thumper was one of those special hounds, he had a great personality and was also great in the field. I know I won't be able to replace him, but I do have a pup off of him.

To me there is not much like losing a dog. I think I remember my dogs that have gone on everyday. Just earlier this evening I pulled up a couple of pictures of some dogs I have lost over the last few years...they claim you eventually forget about them and go on.......but I can never forget about them dogs nor do I want to. I will never forget the times I had with them. Everyday I think of them....

Sorry about your loss and best to you.

I have two dogs that are out Red Barn Ace of Spades. Ace was the Litter Mate to Thumper. There only 18 months old and I really like them both. The Female just looks like Bev's dog, and the Male Looks like Thumper. I just want to say that I'm sorry for you Lost.
