5 Year Old AKC Female Rabble Rauser X Reffett's

Post by HNTDAD »

She will be 5 on 05/31. Open marked tri. She is out of FC Branko's Rabble Rauser by Reffett's Ky Mtn Leah. Leah is out of FC Milt's Woodstock Rockstar (Northway Spur) and Reffett's Ky Mtn Rachel (Sampson). She has decent hunt and doesn't seem to tire. She'll go all day if you let her. Bred once, 2 years ago. She's due to come in anytime. Reason for sale is she has gotten mouthy. Cold trails way more than I like and is mouthy in checks. Shocked off deer 4 years ago and none since. Papers in order, up to date on shots. $300 Located in SW Va. Email lawsonj@vt.edu or call 540-726-7434 6 - 10 pm.

How fast is she? Would she make a good pup trainer do you think? We have a gyp named Reffet's Ky Mtn Blue Leah out of Reffet's Leah and Buddy's Iron Eagle that is also just a little mouthy but still does a good job. She is just a little fast to train pups.
Thanks, Mike

Oops, since I wrote a book for an ad looks like I would have included that. :) She is medium fast. I'd put her at about a 7 out of 10. A little too fast for young pups but probably ok for older pups. She's not a bad dog I just don't like a mouthy dog. Next to running trash, it's just about the worst for me. I've gone back and forth about selling her for about a month so if somebody doesn't take her, she'll be fine right where she is. :) I just figured somebody might want some Rabble blood and I'll probably spay her if I keep her. She always seems to come in heat right toward the end of rabbit season. Thanks for asking.

How mouthy is she? Did you have any trouble with the last litter? I don't mind too bad if she mouths a little when trailing as long as she is trailing at the time. How is your iron eagle bred doing? and pups? ;)

I've hunted over worse. She's not the kind that barks all day long and she is trailing when she does it. But she does bark and not produce. From the people who kept up with me after they bought pups, they turned out to be solid dogs. I only bred one litter out of her. The iron eagle female does pretty good. She's quick and hard hunting. I wish she had a little better mouth, it's more a yip than anything else but overall she does well. I haven't had a litter in about 2 years but those I have heard from were happy. I have only bred 2 litters total. I just rabbit hunt and would like to get back down to 3 dogs total.
