I pay $21 for 44 lbs. I'm on my second bag and it is very comparable to Purina One. In my opinion Black Gold, Diamond, Sport Mix are about the Same. I clean up crap every day and I'll tell you the amount of waste with exceed is half of what it is with those foods. Alot smaller and more firm stool. Less odor too.

I feed Eukanuba Premium Performance 30/20 during very cold weather and or hard running. When hunting season is in and I am not able to run alot or it isnt freezing I use the Maintanance Formula and my stool clean up is smaller and less odor than Purina Hi Pro. My dogs look great and the Food is very highly digestable and its ingredients are top notch...I have tried everything out there except for Black Gold and Pride...

Eukanuba/Iams is sold in Canada ... the price certainly isn't as good as it is with some of the other foods mentioned on this thread, but something definitely well worth looking into. I've been feeding it on and off for almost seven years, and during that time have tried countless other foods in teh search for something better or cheaper. After going through about a dozen other brands I've come to the conclusion that the extra vet bills, mountains of poop and skin/digestive problems just aren't worth a few dollars less per bag.
I feed Euk Premium Performance 30/20, Small Breed Puppy to brood bitches & pups, and in the summer I use the regular adult maintenance 25/16. Its a high meat diet, with most formulas being I use being around 25-30% carbohydrates. Dogs eat about 1.5 cups daily and have very firm poops - once a day, occasionally they go twice daily. They also have a great breeder program that makes it easy to earn "paw points" which add up to free 40lb bags of food ... well worth the purchase price because we just use so much less of it.

Ultra Advantage has almost the exactly the same ingredients and in the same order as Black Gold. The supreme line is equivalent to the higher end Black Gold & Purina Pro Plan. The difference is Ultra Advantage is two to three dollars cheaper per bag than Black Gold, and eight or more dollars per bag cheaper than Pro Plan.

I will consider that now, I did have them on Pro Plan before, although they were eating less amount, the dollars $$ I think it cost me $67 for their largest bag at the local feed store, now I see it's reduced in price to $45. I have them on that Ol'roy Max, it's cheap (but you get what you pay for, huh) and I just don't like it. One hound has runny poop with it and it seems like I am picking up so much of it when I clean the kennel everyday. It would be worth the extra $$ if the hounds got more nutrition out of it and I had less poop to scoop. Thanks Beagled1.
