When to tatoo????

I just bought a new tatoo kit as I am going to have 2 litters pretty close together and I need the ability to distinguish them as they get older. When should I tattoo them? How old is best? I am new to this and any suggestions would be appreciated.

I tattoo all puppies that I keep. Usually wait till they are around 12 weeks old. This way there is alot of ear to work with.

Buddy,
I bought mine from my local farm supply store. It was actually cheaper for them to special order it then for me to get one online.
