boldstroke pups

Boldstroke dogs and all generations of them before.
Bullboy- All the pups from here -as thats exactly what I sold Phil Dixon and told him how and what to do as far as breeding them. Have been Most incredable to every person, I have ever talked to or sold a pup to for years.
I haven't ever seen more than One pure bred boldstroke hound at any compitition before unless it was in the winners pack.
This Don fello can't possibly know what I have seen. Or more than I do about there performance while being owned by others.
I have never seen more consistency In SO many beagles from here In 17 years I have never heard of any not making a real rabbit dog. unless it was killed or stolen before 6 months old.
I origanally made these hounds for me and Im hard to make happy- For all the time and research that went into every generation way back its been wearing out boots and beagle tails putting them against every other dog available on the market today. Feild trials or hunting season. If I saw something I believed in more than the consistencie or better at jumping striking running or anything I'd own it myself!!!!
One thing I can say for a fact is I have come close to death many times and I don't know when my time will ever come- But, what I do know is you won't find a harder working more consistent hound as often as you can here as the litters have been comming out 100 percent from all the work genetically I have done. ANd It sure shows in even the ones I sell to others and explain to breed. And that I have!!
I've never seen another line I wanted to have For So many reasons and proven over, and over, facts it would take way to long to explain. And- I have run and owned So many different hounds you would think I would turn into one myself.
Sometimes you get folks that like to stir up trouble even though they only have one motive and one thing there good at- and thats start rummers and lie's cause they haven't much sence or knowledge except there jelous of someone doing something right and would always love to poke holes in any way possible. SOme people arn't well in there head!
I hope these type of folks find peace with thereselves or possible a nice rope to end there own deep sadness or shame.
I not only can tell you about every dog in the line but what incredable things they used to do. not from reading a Pedigree cause it goes so much deeper and more important than that. its about incredable performance, over-achieving, and unseen drive by the common beagler.
This took so many years that anyone that hasn't gone the distence has no right to comment without the knowledge or the visuals I have had.
We will be sharing our pups once again for some lucky beaglers again within a period of four weeks and they are proven crosses with owners so impressed they already made ALL there feelings very clear (They've never experienced as good) Rebels mother is pregnent too!
These pups will go cheaper than they should at 300.00 males and 325.00 females but- this is no guess work..... E-mail me at BOLDSTROKES@msohio.net or call 740-869-3738 These pups have more thought into the breedinging than I can give you here. And I have done it right and always will. Cause Im keeping a couple! I have AKC studs available as well for those that think that means far more than it really should but, I keep UKC hounds For the right reasons I won't and don't care to play around and explain again.
Any negative comments I won't answer back cause you'll always be weak to me. Today I just got this computer up and this is the only time I'll post.

judge what were the faultsthat you seen were these trial dogs or hunting dogs im really begining to see a difference also were these dogs linebred dogs or crossed dogs i beleve every line has the good and bad but what are the percentages brankos dog all arent fc dogs and they have good and bad to if your looking at field trial dogs only ive got a trial branko dog that can reallyt run in trials but I only could wish that she hadhalf the drive and huntthat my little 3 month old boldstroke has it all comes down to personal happiness if you trial but i enjoy the relaxing sound of mother nature and acouple good dogs that give me everything they got and this is why i choose this line and when she gets running my branko dog is also running down the road good luck and have bullboy
Boldstrokes
I would like to post on this topic. The topic originator was refering to two pups that he was supposed to get from me. I, like many of you. Talked to Gill Davis for quite some time about the Boldstroke Hounds. I was fortunate enough to make the trip from Madison, Tn to Mt. Sterling, Ohio in January 2001. A freind and I bought back 6 hounds at that time. I have made the trip at least two more times and am scheduled to go back the 1st week in September. I had a kennel full of Patch hounds, Branko, and Crain dogs. (Not trying to put those other bloodlines down). The ones that I had at that time did not suite ME. The Boldstrokes dominated and took control of the races. I called Gill back and told him that I wanted a few more. And. To make a long story short. Today. All I have is Boldstrokes hounds in my kennel.
I love the hounds that I purchased from GIll Davis. Gill is super and his hounds are just as good as he is. The question was posed... What am I in for? Well... I would like to attemp to answer that without sounding like a sales pitch. I don't have anymore for sale and I have 30+ phone numbers of people that want to get pups in the future.
I owned beagles for more than half my life. I made the drastic mistake of not breeding the cornerstone of my kennel. Thinking she would live forever. After she died. I tried most every blood line there is to get a hound that could run the track, wide open, on the line, with few mistakes, in so called BAD SCENT CONDITIONS! The closest thing to that for me has been the Boldstrokes hounds. Thanks Gill!!! I look forward to meeting your new girlfreind in September. LK

Don't know much about the dogs themselves, but I do know one thing. G.D. is as WINDY AS SACK FULL OF FARTS. He's been blowin' smoke up peoples ass's for eleven years that I know of. Say's he never sold a pup that didn't turn into a rabbit dog...sheesh I paid $200 for one in 1995 that definitely was a cull. Guess it was because "G., the professional dog trainer" didn't start the pup. Jeezsh, G. ......do your bloodline a favor and keep your mouth shut!

This bashing sh$t has got to stop. Some of us on here like to kid around at times but guys, this is getting ridiculous. I do not own any Boldstroke hounds but I have heard enough about them to know that I would love to own one. I have a friend that is traveling from here in Alabama to get some. The folks that I have talked with say that they are the best hounds they have ever owned and some of them have owned Patch, Branko as well as other well known lines. Maybe it was the "new" owner that caused them to be culls. I have seen dogs go that were thought to be culls but found out different once they went to someone who knew what they was doing with a young hound. Some of you guys need to lay off and look at your training ability a little harder. Every line has its culls. I don't care what two dogs are the parents. I agree with Gil that it is a waiste of time to argu with some of you folks.
Gill, keep up the good work and keep making folks happy that want to be happy. Don't worry about the rest who probably have never had a good dog to compare them too anyway.

I've seen some good stuff posted here (most of the bad stuff posted seems to be from some unknown poster(s) with no specifics).
ANYWAY, I have one question, what is the foot speed of boldstrokes? Would they run with the speed of ARHA LP style hounds?

I agree bama, this post should have been placed in the "Searching for Information" section, IMHO. Most every time a question about a line of hounds has been placed in the "talkin dawgs" section, it has started an arguement(pump & dump). It's gets more exposure here, no doubt, but with that comes more difference of opinions and it just grows untill it's a bashing contest between the pro & con's.
So, I guess it depends what your after as to where you should post but know the risk...Patch

It is simply amazing to me that all of the people that do the popping off are always guests that noone has ever seen or heard of before. I bet if Bev looked at some of the IP addresses these would be some of the people that normally post on the board. Don't be a coward put your name down when you are downing someone, stand up and be recognized or sit down and shut up. To the guest who had the pup that turned out to be a cull, was it because of the pups lack of ability or because of your lack of ability. You can't buy a pup and keep it in the pen and then think it's going to make a dog just because it comes out of a good line. You may just be a sorry handler. I don't own any boldstroke dogs, but probably will in the future just to see what they are like. With me they will have every opportunity to succeed, because they will live in the woods.
