I'm planning on building a kennel, elevated, with 3- 2x6 10's for the bottom members, 2x4's for the top, plastic flooring, wire mesh.
I wondering if I should avoid treated wood because of the chemicals, chewing, and whatever? The wire should prevent "wholesale" chewing but I suspect the dogs could still get to it somewhat. Kennel will be 3x8 with a 2' house on the back.
Treated or untreated wood for kennel?

Catch 22. If you use treated wood and the dogs chew on it, they may get sick, or worse...
If you don't use treated wood, it won't last nearly as long.
With that said, I don't personally have any experience w/ dogs chewing treated wood. I have no idea if it's really bad for them, not bad for them if they dont eat much or whatever.
