Sir I have owned and seen quite a few dogs from Mel's run. Most of them stay down South. There is a gentlemen in MI named Jeff Goff who own's quite a few Satsuma hound's and he runs them in AKC Large Pack on Hare, and as for down South they are everywhere run in both Small Pack and Large Pack on cottontail. Mel amongst alot of other people have finished alot of his dogs to FC status do not think of any International's do not think he goes across to Canada often. As far as ARHA/NKC trialing a gentleman named Joey Herring ran alot of those Satsuma dogs and made almost all of them Grands and made a pretty big name for himself doing it also, and also Glenn Crane still runs some of Mel's blood in it also I believe he is from Mississippi,Louisiana, or Alabama somewhere. If you need any more info PM me.

Thanks Ken Asbury

Tim Tron (Marion, Ohio) owns Scioto River Kennels and has an exceptional stud that is linebred Satsuma/Indian Hills Majer.
The dog is AKC FC JW's Jake II and is black, brown, and white. Rare for Satsuma bred hound.
