#1 rabbit hunting area in the country ?

Post by whiteriver »

I was talking toa buddy today and we was trying to decide where the best place we have ran while traveling and running in trials ?

i was wanting to get some feedback see where u guys stand ?

i have hunted from maryland to the midwest and i have to go with western missouri , i have not hunted iowa much but the guys in missou tell me iowa is better than where we were running lol
this was the MO show me classic back in 2003 . We hunted in public hunting that day and still has rabbits going everywhere lolol
It was worth the 13 hour drive !!

I don't get to travel to much, but the best place that I found that has always produce a lot of rabbits, is out in SW. In. Where they hold the World and Little World hunts. There has been some very great running out there.

River Valley Beagle Club,,,,,,, Booneville, Akansas

We had the best running that I've experienced down there. We ran cottontail and swampers that weekend at the trial and boy can them swampers run,,, i ended up getting 2nd with my female out of Turbo, and my buddy Josh won with his big male, So it was deffinately worth the 11 or 12 hr drive..... Going back this January I hope....

South east Indiana for cottontails, we average 18 a day when we go. Northern Wisconsin for hare, we average 9 a day while there.
