All Right girls now that I got you sufficiantly fired up I'll let you off the hook.

Near from the beggining of this post when you guys didn't agree with me you started right off with the wise cracks and such. From the beggining you had your minds closed and your mouths open. You made it impossible to have a civil debate of ideas and experiances. Instead you wanted to be smart alecs and try to bully me out of your way. After my vary first post, that said nothing more then what I beleive and what I do, the wise cracks started with the "LOL's" and such and by a couple of pages later The word "whacky" was thrown in because I didn't fit into your view of how things should be done. Your posts went down hill from there. I'm not at all surprised that others who disagree with you are hesitant to post here because of the way you treat people who do disagree with you. Go back and read this thread again. If that is the way you would like others to treat you then continue doing things as you do now. If it's not then in the future treat people as you would want to be treated. If you think your going to treat me that way again and I'm just gonna let it slide you are wrong. As you now know I can give as well as take. I can make up anything I want about you and your dogs on here and there will be some who will beleive it. IN the future keep it nice and you'll be treated nice and most importantly others might want to join in on the posts when they feel they can do so without being harassed.

What you fellas are doing is hurtful to the free flow of ideas and opinions. You try to shut others down and in my case it won't work. I would much rather have a nice exchange with you fellas but if you aren't up for that I can adjust real good. It is NOT your way or the highway. Here is the olive branch fellas where do we go from here?

This is getting good and I'll be willing to bet that either 1) he used the shock collar 2) if he don't then his dogs are either not deer broke and one trip down here would prove it or 3) they are but they do not like him therefore he has to run them down every time he catches them. Just my take but its probably true. By the way, I want to hear how the bet comes out between Joe and Chris.

Joe, I agree this thread went south. But you had as much to do with it as anyone. I went back and reread the post from the begining. Where it went south is you telling everyone they don't know how a shock collars works and the effects it has on a dog. I might not know the answer that you want but one thing for sure I know how they work and what effects they have on dogs. Everytime you were asked the question-what experince's do you have with the shock collar, you avoided it like the plauge. Just because we say something don't make it true and it sure don't make it true just because Joe West says it. We explained our training methods over and over, gave you examples and true life experinces over and over. You still continued to tell us how we don't know what's going on. I agree shock collars are not a cure all for every thing. A dog should have all basic commands reenforced before any trash breaking is done with the shock collar. It's very hard to listen to someone telling you your wrong and don't know about shock collars. I never told you your training methods don't work and ruins dogs. I'm sure some are ruined using your methods also.
Joe, you come across and I really think you believe think so, like you are the only person in the world that knows anything about dogs and the training of them.
It's really hard to set here and read some of your comments. When you keep ducking and dodging questions about how you gained all your experince with the shock collars and how you learned how bad they are.
You could have stoped this long ago just like we could have. But we beleive in out methods just as much as you do. Don't think I'm going away just because someone don't understand how something works and thinks their above everyone else. All your post is the same. I'm JOE WEST and I know it all, everyone else is just beginners. I don't think so. You talk about closed minds, what about you Joe? I've never seen such a closed mind as you have.
Now the ball is in your court, you can give us some of your experinces with the shock collar so we can have an understanding of where your coming from or you can continue to duck and dodge and blame us for all this mess.

I can not speek for others but that is what they should do to.

Alabama Swamper: Okay if you don't want a truce you won't get one. Bet all you want to but the only thing you'll know for sure is that all you have is hobby dogs that can only run(?) when conditions are optimal.

Phillip: If you truely did reread the posts then you know I refused to answer your question only after you refused to answer mine. However I did tell you that I had answered that exact question on this board in the past and would do so if you would answer my question. You then said you didn't know the answer to the question. Now you say you do know the answer to the question but don't give the answer. You can't have it both ways. Not answering my question and demanding I answer yours. I even went as far as to tell you that if you don't answer I will and you would not like my answer and still you wouldn't answer. You had your chance but refused. Incidentally I gave you plenty of oppertunity to tell how a shock collar works BEFORE I detailed how they work. I ASKED you to tell how they work BEFORE I detailed how they work. If you took it that I was teling you that you don't know anything because I detailed how they do work it's on you because I tried to get you to go first. Asking is not telling you that you don't know anything it is asking your oppinion. You wouldn't give it. Yes you did detail your method of useing the collar and I do understand how different people use them. I also never said the collar doesn't work, it does work for breaking from off game. It was you who got upset when I detailed how they work just as I warned that you would before I did so. Now, Here is the thing when you read the written word there is no tones or inflections in the voice to denote the speakers attitude at the time it was written. Just ask yourself, and there is no need to answer, whether or not you substituded your own tones and inflections into what I had written when you read it. If so that could drastically change the tone of what was writen. As far as it being my turn, I don't see it that way, you still haven't answered my question and I get the feeling all your interested in is an argument instead of an exchange of ideas. An argument is a waste of time and I've been trying to get you guys to see that for a long time.

Thank you Joe, I will asure you I didn't get upset at what you think is an answer to how a shock collars works. This is not grade school-you go first- no you go first. You need to grow up and get in the real world. Joe you don't know enough to make me up set. I only set here and laugh at you when you start this childless behavior. . I can really pull your string can't I joe. You can't answer and we all know you can't. Your the one that got upset because you couldn't impose your will on everyone and was exposed for what you really are. Just keep doding and ducking joe. It only proves what we all know about you. Your beating a dead horse Joe. Can you not come up with something else. This is getting old. YOU GO FIRST-NO YOU GO FIRST. What grade you say your in.
Joe this is my last post so you can have the last word but, you've proved to me and most of the people on here what your made of. Your the one being made a joke of. Grow up! I hate to get down to your level but this is the only thing you might understand. However I doubt it.

Phillip I've seen some real dumb people in my time but you take the gold star. Alright I tried my best to put a closuer on the bickering but your just a rude obnoxious person by nature. At least while your long distance. Real dumb too and don't know a hound from a poodle judgeing by your posts. As you can see you'l not get any civility from me either dopey.

Hobby dogs? I invite you down here Joe and I'll show you hobby dogs. I'll also try not to laugh when your dogs get on a deer and you can't run them down. I promise you, there will be no running down. I ran in a place the other evening that you could barely walk through and they were out of hearing several times in those pines. Because I run collars, I was in no worry of running a deer. Hobby Dogs? LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BY the way, I don't what you meant by that last sentence but I'll put my dogs against yours anyday, anywhere, in any conditions.

Probably because they come right back with the rabbit! They don't get to far, usually just a couple of hundred yards or so and only stay out of hearing for a couple of minutes.

Boomer when I first started running beagles I ask the beagler that I was running with how I could tell when the dogs were running a deer.

He said if they ran over 5 min. without a check hit them on high!!!

I have better dogs than that now.

I don't run dogs that I worry about. If they are deer runners they don't stay in my kennels. I break them or get rid of them.
