Your national title will be decided between the winner of (Michigan/Ohio State) against a one loss team. And while I'd prefer to see Michigan in the title game, I honestly can't see them beating Ohio State. I think it'll be a close game, but still the Buckeyes by 10.
As for one loss teams that will face them... as much as I hate to say it I darn well won't be Louisville playing in the national title game. Fact of the matter, most college analyst are like us layman fans, we don't see the Big East being a bigtime college football conference. In three to four years that may change, but for now Big East is like the Big West... Boise State's undefeated record is nice, but they haven't played any power houses. As for Louisville, West Virginia, and Rutgers... other than those three teams there's no one else in the Big East worth a crap.
Thus with such said, Ohio State will be facing either of the following three schools for the national title.
Texas - Most logical choice as their only loss came to then #1 Ohio State. When then new rankings come out they'll be #3 and will remain such until the loser of Michigan/Ohio State comes about
Auburn - if they win out and win the SEC conference title and Texas loses the Big 12 confernce title game or to A&M
Florida - if they win out and win the SEC conference title and Texas loses the Big 12 confernce title game or to A&M
HOOK'EM HORNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hated to see Cards lose last night and my wallet did too. I felt like Petrino and the ville had to much going for them to not come out and put Rutgers away in the first half like they should have. They let Rutgers stay around too long, but give credit to Rutgers how many times have you guys seen Brohm have a game like he had. Louisville's offensive line was manhandle by smaller , quicker defense. I am no Michigan or Ohio state fan , but that will be a heck of a game. Fuzz, I will take the 10 points and the wolverines, I think it will come down to a field goal either way.

Looks like the collission course crashed last nightMasonsBeagles wrote:CARDS ON A COLLISSION COURSE WITH DESTINY!!!!!!! NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.
Lived in Louisville approx. 10 yrs. Watched this University go from almost nothing to what it is today. Unbelievable Coaching Petrino is the best, Athletic Director is the best in the Country. Brian Brohm (wish he had gone to Tennessee) but he appears to have made the right choice.

Jimbo you should haved called this morning i wasnt even going to mention the game at all

I enjoyed the game last night. Not a fan of either team, but a great football game was played. Not that both teams played superb, but it made for a great game.
Louisville is the better team, when they play to their potential. I kinda liked seeing rutgers win, but at the same time wanted louisville to win, for personal reasons!
Had Louisville won last night, the last team to beat them in almost 20 games was my beloved HOKIES! Gator bowl last year showed that louisville has a big fan following and that was nice to see.
ps... I LOVED watching louisville beat the mountaineers!!!!!
I agree with the earlier post about 3 possible teams. Texas or Auburn/Florida most likely but auburn/florida has a tougher hill to climb to stay with 1 loss. Texas is the logical choice. Unfortunately early season losses dont hurt as bad as late losses, and that loss came to the #1 team very early in the season.
What if rutgers stays undefeated??? Still wont be in the title game unfortunately. They have come a long way the past few years though. Should help their recruiting.

I want to see the replay of that game I swear Rutgers had 30 men on defense. Unreal!!!!! Oh well Cards will be back. One heck of a game. Hats off to Rutgers.
I will have to say it will prob be Michigan and Texas in the Champs. I dont like Michigan and no offense to Ohio state. Ohio is one heck of a club. Just seems like the year of the upsets.....
I say Playoffs for college give the small guy a chance. Rutgers has a top notch defense. They play like an SEC team.
GO VOLS!!!@!!!!!!!

I agree with a playoff. I love college football and watch games all the time. I think the bowl system could be rearranged and there would still be sellouts nationwide. I do not have much to be excited about this year, the Wolf pack of NC State almost beat everybody. The Thursday night games this year have been some of the best ever. Sorry Cards fans but Rutgers played a hell of a second half.
Where's the earth shattering kaboom ?

Not to worry Anthony if ESPN is right you guys will get Butch Davis.......Then you will be in business.
I graduated from state in 84.the pack fans are getting low on patience.Amato is ok as a defensive coach can recruit defensive stars, but he has yet to recruit a decent quarterback.his record is not as good as sheridan, kiffin, or o cain.the program has slid from a team that occasionally would crack the top 10 and be in the top 20 every year to an embarrrasment offensively.i think his contract ends next year. bill cowher's family has bought proprty near Raleigh rumor has it he could be the next coach.
