we are from Indianapolis IN and go to Clearfield IA to run beagles and if I could I would move to Iowa. was told that most people just bird hunt and rabbit hunting is not that popular. we have found that there are alot of rabbits and the ground cover is great and the it is totally different running than here in Indiana. i think the best is the wide open spaces you have to run in, we ran a day or two and never saw a car or truck pass by. i pray that Iowa doesn't become one big housing development like Indiana is. we will be in Iowa this Dec and Jan for a week each and would like to get together and run a day.

SSSSHHHHHH!!!!!!! Don't tell anyone about Iowa. It is my little secret!!!! In Iowa we are living with the land and we are as country as it gets. Mostly farmers and all understand genetics because they make their living with it. Everyone stay away. I have rabbits that nightly come hop around my dog pens and many right in my yard. It is great for training pups. Hardly anyone hunts rabbits anymore and that is why when I breed dogs, I have them all to myself because you can't sell a good dog as no ones hunts with them hardly. I have given away dogs that if they were in kentucky would be worth 5oo or 600 dollars. I have had all my litters to myself and have been able to pick and choose at will and since I am very picky, I have produced some rabbit dogs. It just don't get any better than this and I feel sorry when I see what others have to do in order to go rabbit hunting in other states. Stay away!!!!!! LOLOLOLOL
