Man.......I hate to hear that, I hate someone who steals!! We have had a bunch of homes broke into here lately. One retired Doctor lost $500,000 in gold coins! Another lady and her husband lost $300,000 in jewlery and guns! They robbed them in daylight, middle of day.

You suspect someone you knew did this?

You probably already know this........go to every pawn shop you can find within 40-60 miles of your home. I dont know about Kentucky but in Indiana to pawn merchandise now you get photographed with it. I had a friend who got his tools stolen, found them at pawn shop, got picture of the crook and it was his employee!!

Make sure you report them guns stolen and keep a copy of the report, hope you had serial numbers. Biggest worry is some Meth head, gang banga killing someone with them.

Good luck to you!

Randy

Danny,
Sorry for your lose, I know how you feel, I got broke into about 6 years ago and lost several guns and other things too. The police told me alot of times they will come back within 6 months so I went to work to make my house a safer place. I had an alarm system put in for around 1500 dollars and a new gun/fire safe in the house and about 4 months later they came back and broke thru the same door but this time the police were there within two minutes and the alarm was going off loud and clear. They took nothing and they beat the police getting away from my house, I knew right then the alarm had paid for itself several times over. You may want to think about an alarm system and a gun safe. dboman
Let's go run them!!!

Definetly check pawn shops and like said suspect someone you know, a family member or a close friend. Someone who you know that would have known you was going out of town for awhile. Hope you catch him and do you know any police officers personally that works from the dispatcher in your area. Makes sure that he knows. Let him know what to look for and tell him when they catch the thief to make sure that they atleast give him a good A$$ whooping before taking him in.

Pawn Shop

Post by Rneil »

If you are close to Columbus, check the pawn shop on South High Street.
I had a double barrel stolen that I bought in 1974. I found the gun 2 years later at Gander Mountian in Hilliard setting in the used gun section. The gun smith bought several guns from a pawn shop on rt 23 below Columbus. I did get the gun back so I was lucky.
So check the pawn shops every two or three months.

i took everything to my dads house,it was actually his house we live close together, anyway, two girls came sat night and acted like they where interested in buying his home cause he had a for sale sign in the window.he let them in and showed the house to them and they wanted to know if their dad could look at it sunday and dad said ok.well, they called from a john deere dealership and said they where lost and wanted him to come there so they can follow him and he went and sit there a bit before he realized something was up but when he got back home it was too late, they cleaned us out.but just so happened a very good friend of mine own the dealership,we checked the security tapes about 2 hours ago and sure enough, the car pulled up the person got out and made the call.the car was the same car the girls where in the night before, detectives are going to review the tape and hopefully justice will be served.i don't want to point fingers, but yeah,it looks like someone i thought was my friend.the sad thing is,i could care less about my friendship to the people who did it,but if the evidence we have proves right,i am going to loose a friend that i know is inocent but is caught in the middle.i hope it is someone else but right now it looks bad.there is more i could say but i am going to keep my mouth shut till i know for sure.neibors identified the car as the one in the tape is the one that loded my stuff and drove off.what is this world coming to?this has been the worst weekend i think i have ever had, lost every cast at the hunt, lost a very good friend in big time and now this, somethings gotta give.

I feel your pain , about two weeks ago I left my house for the night to go see my father in law in the hospital and somebody stole all the guns I had in my gun cabinet. They even took the lockwith them. I came home found my Knight Muzzleloader in my back yard and a sling for my shotgun, my sons Rossi 22/410, but they got my Ruger 7mm, S&W 12 guage, .243 & S&W 38. Luckily my insurance is going to cover the stolen items, but it pissess you off bad to think someone would steal off of you.

About 2 1/2 weeks ago I had my car broken into while visiting my parents in Houston. They stole my laptop and my pistol. Both things had been gifts within the last year and a half. My parents had given me the laptop and my husband had given me the pistol for Christmas last year. I have noticed a few little things since then, but I don't think there is anything that can be done about them. The ins. has already replaced the laptop and cut the check for the pistol.

Ropbbed While at Lil World

Post by Ed Brown »

Yea, I agree with the rest of the folks, it sure sucks to think someone would come into your own house and steal. I'm not sure if I have the right reamdy, but I have a 100 pound German Shepard and she does NOT like strangers. If you come to the door, you KNOW she's on the other side. Don't want to seem moucho, but I wouldn't want anything to do with her. Also a sign at my mailbox which reads " I can make it to the front gate in 2 seconds, can you?" Coarse I know I could lose my dog if the bumbs want to steal bad enough, just shoot her, I guess. But what else is there to do? The whole world is screwed up except you and I and I question you most of the time. Just kiddin. It's a strange world we live in, isn't it?
