bring them to my house, I promise if they survive they will not ever run another deer. I will only use my shock collar and guarantee it.

Tri Tronics---#6 setting, let them take them till it scares you then burn them all the way back, shock till the timer makes it quit shocking then do it again till they are at your feet. If that don't work give them to the guy from VA that likes them to run deer.

I think at 2 & 3yrs. if they ain't broke by now then they are bonafide deer runners and you can never trust em. Send em to Josh.

I would think you have collar wise dogs. They know you are the one hurting them. Boils to this, a lot of guys do it, run em with the shock on em. A lot of fellows do this because they never use the dummy collar. In fact I just uograded to new collars and no dummy was sent with the new collar. I called and ask what happen to the dummy collar and they told me most never use them, instead of raiseing the price they deleted the dummy collar. To me the dummy collar is as important as the attention grabber

If you have only shocked them off of deer 3 times then don't give up. Set them up on some deer and when they run them make them pay. None of this bumping them crap. Turn it up as high as it will go and pin them to the ground until the shock collar times out. When they start heading back pin them down again. You have to hit them haaaaard every time.

NEED TO SHOCK THE pee OUT OF THEM

Post by greenesbeagles »

You need to crank the collar up on 6 and hold it until it flips them right on there backs, trust me it will work.Might have to do it a few times but i garetee by the 3rd time they will pee themselves when they smell a deer.Keith, greenesbeagles.

I would set your dogs up----take them in your truck, drive roads (dusk is good), find deer, allow deer to line out of area--nonchalantly hunt your dogs into where you saw the deer leave the area and if your dogs line out on the deer trail ---let them tongue three barks--AND--light them up!!--just as the above posts stated #6!!! I don't think it will take you three times. Call them back to you and put them up in the truck to calm down, don't pet them up, scold them lightly (you want them to think the deer scent shocked the sh-t out off them not you-- and take them home and let them think about it for a nite. Hunt them on rabbits next time out and stay close--any sign of off game---set them up again.
Its worked for me--setters, beagles, coon and bearhounds. It's better to check as individuals since some dogs get suckered into a good hot deer chase by the bad apple. Some can't be broke (not many) and should be sent to deer hunter. JMO

I have a 4 year old male that enjoyed his annual deer chase until last year he got pulled into one half way through the season then wanted to run deer every time out after that.I was disgusted and took him to a guy that guaranteed to break him for a $100.Dropped him off and said all I want is for him to come back alive, have no mercy. He has turned into my tattletail and after asking what the guy did it was pretty much the way Big Dog described it......show no mercy cause if you cant break them you'll have to get rid of them anyway.
