Big Mike, A warble is not a made up joke. They are very real. Some people call them wolves. They are actually the larva of the bot fly. They look like a huge black or brown maggot that works its way out from under the animal's skin like a boil on a person. They don't really hurt anything unles the animal has several on them at one time. I have shot a lot of squirrels with them, but no rabbits yet although I know they get on them too. Sometimes cats will get them also. You'll know one when you see it. Dan

I’ve been out on four separate occasions on two different state properties just north of my home. Rabbit population is looking much better than last year in north central Indiana. Only problem is its very thick, which makes it difficult to take videos. I sure would like to get in a good area that I could get some nice quality videos.
* I enjoy meeting new Beaglers & Squirrel Dog Owners. It's a blessing to find other's with such unique interests.
* I also enjoy helping future hunters.

I'll be going quite a few more times this season, but I won't be open to go with anyone else till after January 7, 2007. If you have AKC SPO style hounds, let me know if your interested in getting together this season. I do have a few medium fast hounds that I can throw in with a faster pack if necessary.Keystone Kid wrote:I’ve been out on four separate occasions on two different state properties just north of my home.
