I have a 2 year old male and a 10 year old female. I am running a third for a friend this summer, a one year old female. I have had up to 5 at one time in the last two years or so, but the junk doesn't stay long.

I am down to 6 dogs now with the oldest being 15 months old and the youngest being 11 months old. I had up to 9, but have gotten down to 6, I may still sell one of my females and replace her with another black and tan female that is AKC. Http://bigdogsbeagles.homestead.com

I have six at this time. They range from 11 months to almost three. I like younger hounds but a few of these will get old with me.

at this time i have eight beagles and a lab. my lab is nearly three years old. she has hunted two seasons. the beagles are eight, five, two, two, nine months, three days, two days and two days. the three youngest are not quite broke yet, but we are working on them. at this stage i think that they can smell milk. don't expect any sight chases for at least a few weeks. of the running beagles i have four females and one male, who has actually been kinda busy and kinda sneaky lately. i am considering banning him from the premises if he "infects" anyone else. ran in yesterday literally for less than ten seconds to grab some bleach only to come out and find him fraternizing with one of my new additions. i know it was my fault, but darn, he was quick.

At this time I have 9 running hounds 2 males and 7 females. One male is for sell and spoken for and 2 females are for sell and both are spoken for.

I have 2 females that are at the starting pen now.

I had 4 litters this spring and raised 15 pups. I have sold some so far and will keep a few out of each litter. Couple are sold to people that will meet me at the Silver Creek Picnic up in IN.

I try to keep about 10 running head at all times and most of the time I will have 2 to 3 litters through out the year.

I try to run 4 to 5 times a week in the winter time and durning trialing season.

I only run about 2 to 3 times during the hot months.

I will run my hounds in a Brace, Trio, or 4 in a pack and then solo each one twice as much as I pack them. I like the Solo time and Brace time more than I do any other way. It gives them confidence to hunt and run their own rabbit with out a lot of pack pressure. They get enough packing when i run them in the trials and I have been pretty successfull with this method.
