A general forum for the discussion of hunting with beagles, guns, clothing and other equipment and just talking dawgs! (Tall tales on hunting allowed, but remember, first liar doesn't stand a chance)
I usually carry about 10 or 12. I figure if I shoot that many I will have had a good day! Most of us use .410s, I've got to keep enough at the truck for me and one of my buddies who rarely buys shells. He somehow forgets to buy them alot, but I don't say too much because he knows all the landowners where we do our most productive rabbit hunting.
I was not going to call any names, but since you said it. I am checking on a case price now so we can get through the season. I know we will be shooting alot more with this dream pack we have assembled. Craig shoots in volleys. He can work a pump like most people work an automatic . My shells must work faster than his. I will give him credit though since I know he will not read this, a rabbit has usually made his last run if he gets within 50 yards of his little mossberg. I will probably delete this post soon because they won't be able to make hats big enough if his melon gets any bigger than it already is.

4 shells 4 rabbits , thats the limit thats all I need. LOL
usually a pocket full and the rest in the truck. I haven't shot a rabbit
in about 2 years now that my 12 year old son is hunting he carries the gun
and I enjoy watching him and the hounds.
