Puppy bath

Post by coolbrze »

I've got an 8 week old puppy I'd like to bathe but I'm not sure if it's old enough. I have some Hartz puppy shampoo and was wondering when a pup is old enough to bathe...

I bathed all my pups when I brought them home form breeders at 8 weeks. Just make sure the pup doesn't get cold afterwards. Towel dry and snuggle until dry. Have fun! carolyn

Getting a puppy wet sure can't harm it ;-) I've bathed puppies at 3 or 4 weeks that had gotten messy. Its so warm most places this summer that he'll be dry in about 5 min. Go for it!!

Why would you need to worry about a pup getting chilled at these temperatures? ;)
