Look guys,, there's nothing fully American made anymore!!! Isn't there a German name in front of Chrysler now??? Bet they get a GOOD CUT OF THAT PIE!!! We've heard GM's teaming up with Fiat and Nissan, now theres the blind leading the blind for sure... These are worldly car companies now,, no country affiliation at all and that they are taking to the bank!!! I saw on MSNBC's website this week that GM's most profitatble car is selling in CHINA,, now who's bullshiting who there!!! All Gm ford and Chrysler want is for the UAW to vanish and then they'll make a big comeback here in the good ole USA... And thats the name of that tune.. I was in a gunshop last week an a old geezer told me Winchesters whoas was their U-nions doings,, about three years from now when the U-nion contract is over they'll be back!!! We'll see on that one.. God Bless US, the rich are getting richer and the rest of us are gonna be sucking seawater. Don't turn this into politics either cause as far as I'm concerned NEITHER ONE OF THESE POLITICAL PARTIES has a man or woman in them worth a darn!!!! Our Government is selling us out to he lowest bidder and lining their pockets with gold!!!!

First I'd like to say that crewCF is correct Dodge/Chrystler is not American owned anymore. That being said there is a perseption that it is better to send $$$$$ TO Germany than Japan. I personally Would go with the Dodge. I own a 98' ram with a 360 c.i. and have not had a single problem with it. I also own a 95' Tahoe that is my hinting truck and Love it. I have an 04' F-150 company truck that I have had nothing but problems with. 5 sets of breaks. hub and rotor assy at 4500 miles and the list gos on. I cannot comment on the Toy but I'd go with the Dodge.

I own an 88 Dodge Dakota pickup with 192,000+ miles. It starts and runs just like the day I got it. The only problem that I have had, let the rear end go dry at about 90,000 and had to have the rear end rebuilt. It was my negligence so I take the blame.

Patch, I wish I could help you out there with your stock, but since Ford blatenly pushes their homosexual agenda, I will never purchase a Ford again. That really gets my goat, I really liked them in the past. All I can say is the next time I am in the market for a vehicle, I will call yeller and Jimmie and see what kind of a deal they can get me. (It may be pretty soon as one car has 108K on it and the other has 155K.)

Ok Em, I sold the f an though it was down a .10, I still made a.25 before the $4 charge. Man it's hard to make ends meet...

Hey Jimmy, how far I got to go in Ky. to see that crewcab?
Got a 04 Avalanche w/ 11,000 mi to trade.

I would go with the Toyota....It will last you forever, all you have to do it put gas and oil in it.....But I would get the Tocoma Double cab with the TRD pakage.....I get 20 mph and can go anywhere the full size trucks can go...

I also work at Toyota and I can tell you that there are more American made parts in a Toyota than Japanese parts....If you guys don't want to drive them that's fine by me....but the rest of the world wants to and it keeps my lights on and family fed....Plus with the benefits for empoyees and everything they do for the community around here I don't see what is so bad about that....And because of Toyota I have the money to go travel to a trial every weekend....LOL and that's what really matters....To each his own....

Wow, good reading and I am looking too! Have been looking for a late model Tacoma 4x4 with under 60,000 miles. They sell around here as fast as they are listed if they are good deals.

My son just bought a Colorado. I drove it and hated it. Nice truck, looks good and is peppy but drives more like a car than a truck. Just didn't like the feel of it. Didn't like sitting on the floor board.

What I have now is a 96 GMC Sierra Z71 that just hit the 250,000 mile mark. I put $1,100 into the transmition last year and put a new transfer case this year, had to repair a leak behind the intake at about 90,000 miles and thats it! Besides, its paid for!

What I was looking for was something to get better gas miliage but still get around 18 pmg hwy in this thing. I can say this has been a GREAT truck. Will I be gaining anything by going with a smaller truck?

Beaglenut is the Titan the larger truck?

Ford is the best made of any in my book, I have 160k on my 97 & not turned a wrench except oil change. The 88 I had before this one had 190k when I sold it & the boy who bought it still drives it every day. I have had great luck with them. I will never own a Nissan or Toyaka or anything else where the "majority" of money goes overseas, I make my money here & will spend it here.
Just my raisin I guess,

Ive seen good Dodges and Ive seen bad Dodges. Ive seen good Toyotas and Ive seen bad Toyotas. But I have a '98 Tacoma that you could drop a Wal-Mart on and if you could get to the key, the engine would still start. Toyota and Nissan both make a strong truck that will last. The do like to rust, but you will be driven them with the floor board rusted out 10 years after that dodge was broken down for scrap metal.

HBilly, to me, the make of the truck dont mather much as long as I can get a dog box in the back of it. I would say go with a crew cab or 4-door. The room is worth the extra money.

To check it out when you get one, load it full of dogs and come on down South and run with us. lol Good luck and I hope you get what you want..

Hey Fellers,
I just got home from work and WOW!!! Boy did I hit a hot button! Seems to me you wanna get some boys goin just start talking trucks.....LOL. I guess my problem is while I know Toyotas go for ever and ever with proper care i just can't figure getting so much less of a truck when it comes to goodies, room and equipment for the same money. This Dakota has everything from trailer hitch to hood ornament for the same money as a bare bones Tacoma. Now I must admit I think the Toyota has looks galore and the Dakota to me looks like a Jeep Liberty crossed up with a Ram and produced a Mutt called the Dakota but thats kinda like a hound to me. I don't care really how ugly it is if it can get the job done without blowing up the race. I guess the Dakota is the Puggle of the truck world! But when you figure 22,600 (Employee price) and 0% together thats a hell of a deal! What do you figure in some quick math, close to 10 grand over 4 years in saved interest. I can't imagine a stippped down Toyota is worth 32,600 any more than I can imagine the Dakota will break down 10,000 dollars worth. It is late so my thinking may be flawed so if anyone thinks I'm off base help me out here. I'm leaning Dakota and first thing I want to do (Rimshot) is load up and take it for a long spin............hounds inside of course now that I have room....
Thanks for the input guys,
Peace.................or should I say Sigh a nara (sp?)
NYH
