1 Yote dead.... photo

Post by SMITTY1233 »

This coyote came in on us while we were running our dogs. The coyote was very bold. He just stood there 40 paces away barking at us.

I moved up the trail & he was just standing there looking at us, didn't seem to be afraid of us at all.

We went to the house, retrieved our guns & calls. We set up & called about five minutes when this big male came running in. Roy stopped him with a load of #4 buckshot. Luckily he didn't get any of our dogs

Looks like you made him into a good yote. The ones I've been seeing around here were still breathing.

Try calling them with a pup -N- distress call.....It has worked several times over the years. This dog came running like he never had a care in the world.
Yotes seem much more callable July, August & September.

Hard to beat 3" #4 buckshot....41 pellets ;)
Don't worry about what people think....most don't do it often!!!
