Flattened Expaned Metal????
Anyone ever use the Flattened Expanded Metal for above ground kennel floors? What are some of the possible goods and bads? This is what was used in the dog trailer we bought for both the sides and the floor and it seems to work okay for that so we were looking at using it for kennel floors.

If possible, I would look into trying to get it in Stainless Steel if using it for kennel flooring. Just because of the constant use of it. It may cost more to do it intially, but will probally save in the long run because it will last longer and not need replaces as often.

I agree, baked on would be alot better than just painting it with any other methods IE: spray bombs, or a brush

Well, a word of caution. I have expanded metal for the flooring of my trailer that I haul dogs with. One of my females got a toenail caught/wedged in a corner and got it stuck. She pulled her toenail completely off trying to get her foot unstuck.
Maybe we are talking about two different things here, but if the openings come down to a point, it is possible for that to happen again. I have used that trailer for a couple years, and only had it happen once, but it sure ruined the dog for the trip.

I have a above ground that I used the expanded metal that is used in hog farrowing houses, it is covered with a rubber coating. Clean up is a breeze everything just sprays off. I dont see why you couldn't get truck bed liner sprayed on or just do it yourself, that stuff is suppose to resist just about everything.
