What kind of food are you feeding? Most problems seem to come back to food these days. Shampoo will not help with dry skin. Again, it's an inside out problem. Try a capsule of salmon oil once a day in their food. Also what bedding are they on. That may cause a problem. Carolyn

Uh, I think I would look to treat mange mites before I went holistic on the food...pups will get them, their coat looks thin and their skin will get bumps on it, real uncomfortable for the pups. I had pups that were treated with ivomec and it seemed to clear up this problem...dont know exactly what your pups have, but I would check with a vet regarding sarcoptic mange mites....Tony

Yeah I had a pup about a year ago that got those mange mites. I took him to the vet and they gave him 3 shots over 3 weeks and come to find out it was Ivomec. The same thing I give for Heartworm prevention.

Thanks for the reply. I think you all are right it looks like demodex indestation of the pups skin eight-legged mites. I gave them 1/8 cc of ivomec by mouth to hold them over untill i can get some treatment.

Thanks
