I dont really care too much for trialing I gust love to turn them loose and just listen to them run. There are no telephones ringing or people asking questions.Went tonight for a couple of hours think I am about sane again after the fun ran four rabbits.

I like the trialing because I am a very competitive person, plus I like to travel to see what everyone else has......I used to love to run with a bunch of buddies for fun, but anymore I would rather just run by myself. Now everybody just wants to brag about there dog or put down somebody elses dog or just talk about pedigrees instead of just running and having a good time. We used to just run...didn't matter who barked first or who was running the front...Just as long as they were running...not anymore all you hear anymore is My dog can do this, My dog is getting better at this, or my dog can beat your dog, or the other day my dog beat this dog, or I got cheated here or there.....I get tired of this crap so I just run by myself....As a matter of fact I just got in from running one of my pups and we had a quite enjoyable couple of hours..I spotted a baby rabbit in the yard as he was walking towards it barking and the little guy just stood there and looked at the pup so I had to catch the pup before he ate the little rabbit.....It was pretty funny but you had to be there.....

Gregg, you're livin' the life... seriously. I'm jealous.

I don't care if it's hunting, fun running, or trialing, I just like being outside with the the dogs and the people, and seeing what the dogs will do that day.

I am a hunter first, been to a few trials,I liked some of them and I didn't like some, but the best satisfaction is watching a pup you raise become a rabbit dog.

The thing I like best is going hunting with other folks and humiliating them because my hounds are such superior quality.

Well, I like it ALL!!!!!
From the pups first breath and the big hopes that you set on that new born, wondering what kind of mouth he is going to have and dreaming of all the bunnies killed over him and the trials he will win, to the weaning and playfulness and bonding at 6 weeks old. The pups first rabbit and the excitement in the pups eyes and the grin on the pups face. Watching that light turn on when he realizes what he was born to do and all of the puppy playfulness wash away in a single moment. The first check in the puppy pack, the first jump in the wild. The first rabbit shot in front of the pup. Watching that pup turn into a rabbit dog. The first trial where he may do good or embarrass you to him coming into his own. The excitement of waiting around to see if your number is called back for the next series to him going on and winning his first trial. From hunting with your long time hunting partner to spending time with the old retired dog solo'd in the field because even though he is old and slowing down, still loves to run. I love every second of it!!!!!!!

I enjoy both. I almost always run alone at home, so I love the trials to get to run with other people.

I like to gun hunt and trial. I have met a lot of people through the internet and traveling to trials. I like going to the trials, because A) I want to win lol and B) seeing my friends from all over the country.
