Sport is a 13 1/2" Open marked fast male with great line control, Squal mouth and can dominate a check area.

Chance is a 14 1/2" tricolor female with good foot and breakaway speed. She has excellent line control, hunts like a bird dog, good in the check and a fog horn mouth.

Chance is bred and due on or around 7-1-06. The parents are solid and I hope I get the pups I am dreaming of.

It's a half-sibling breeding, so the good traits should be locked in.. but any other traits will be, too. Be prepared to cull hard, and keep the good'uns.

I have not had good luck doubling up on Turbo. My experience is out cross Turbo or let it not be so line breed.

Thanks all for posting.

Swing, If all I get is rabbit dogs I would be happy. Anything else is just gravy. By the way Viper is starting to come on strong and I will start trialing him again this fall.

Bev, I am very happy with the sire and dam and I along with my buddy are gonna start the whole litter with this being only my second litter bred. I let some really good ones slip away by not doing it on my first litter(2005).

Matt, Thank you for the advice. At this point I am gonna move forward with this cross and hope for a really good male to come out of it. Last year I bred a Branko/Striker female to FC Buckeye Ninja Blueboy and kept a nice female to try and breed back to with a double Turbo male. If it all backfires on me I will not make the same mistake twice.

If all goes well.

Hey Ed nice pictures. It looks like its going to be a power house litter. Viper is really picking it up, and taking charge.

I am with gomski on this one , double up turbo .You may have problems with tooooooo much mouth . That is a cool cross bet they start barking
like a poodle outside the front door on a 10 degree morning wanting in .
Good luck with em ;)

I'm running a dog name Viper, that has Double Turbo in him, and at this time I wish I had a kennel full of them.

There is no extra mouth and a lot of hunt and a great check dog, and a ton of speed. And I heard that Viper's litter mates are tearing it up.

Thanks for responding, as I always said I have seen both good and bad in all crosses. I am not an expert on dogs, but I will keep and start all the pups until 6 to 9 months old. I have been told that by starting the pups to soon I could end up with more mouthy dogs. I had a litter last year that was mostly Branko started after 6 months that turned ok to a hair tight.

Jimmie and Matt I put this on here for opinions and I do want both good and bad. If it blows up in my face then I will be the one out a year of my life. If it works and I get the male I want then he will be at you Redneck Nationals in about the year 2009

Thanks

Good looking pedigree. A lot of tight line/inbreeding Besides the half brother / sister cross of Turbo and Blueberry you have Boonecreek trimmer who was the result of a half brother half sister cross out of secondhand rose whose dam was Branko's Spikey, the result of a father daughter cross Branko's Conman X Pretty Pebbles, the same cross that produced Double Ann the dam of Branko's Silvertone Belle. I think you could be looking at a world champion by 2009 out of this cross. If you have more females in this litter than you care to deal with let me know and my deposit will be in the mail, but let me know before mybeagles sees this he'll be trying to buy the whole litter.
