Vic Costanza in NY started the Ninja blood. Not sure of his contact info without looking it up. Mark Trudell, goes by Mark T on the boards also has a bunch of good ninja blood in his kennel. The last I knew, Mark has Maravic's Blue Barry (son of Ninja) standing at stud at his place. good luck ... CHH

Patrick Burnett and I co-own a male that is off Turbo and a double bred Blue Ninja female. He is a hard hunting dog with a lot of speed. He can foot up with pretty much anything and can handle the line. He can get a little crazy in a pack of hard hitting dogs, but generally keeps his head. He has the ability to slow down and walk a track when the scenting gets a little tough, but it takes him about an hour or so to settle down enough to do that. I can't speak for all the off-spring from any line of dogs, but the one we have is a pretty complete hound.

I have a young male that is out of Iron Eagle and a Northway female of Dexters. I just got him and started solo running him. He is getting better in the check department and "when he gets rollin and thinks he's right can fly". In a pack he is awesome with a big bawl mouth.

I run some with a male out of Turbo and a Lumber Jack female that is just plain nice to watch. He can stretch a dog and runs a good close line.

Farwest,
I guess this all how a person looks at these things. I have seen people selling hounds for years as Brako hounds because they had the name Branko on them. I have also seen people take them to task for saying it, making the argument that unless it was Branko himself is doing the breeding of the hounds and selling them right from his kennel then they were not Branko hounds. Sounds reasonable enough to me! With the same notion in mind, Vic chose to breed his Tootsie (Branko bitch) to Brankos Jack of All Trades and the resulting litter finished three champions including Ninja. So there you have it as far as I can see, if aforementioned argument holds true. Vic started the Ninja line in my book. If you want to ask him he can be contacted at Maravic@aol.com. He is the president of my beagle club and a heck of a good guy. Tell him Baldy sent ya! LOL!

Tootsie was already bred to Jack of all Trades when Branko sold her to Vic. There for I would say Branko is the breeder. I could be wrong, you ask Vic and let me know ;)

Farwest,

I went to Vic's web site and checked under "History" and this is a quote from that page on his site.
"I desired to start off with an exceptional snow nose bitch. Greenbrier Branko's Tootsie later filled this niche. I bred her to FC Branko's Jack of All Trades and this started my foundation stock." Maybe I interpreted this wrong so at our next club meeting I'll ask him. I have not been and to attend many recent meetings with my 3-11 work schedule, but due to a change in my schedule I will soon be able to make everyone of them. Yeah!

I like Blueback Hounds like LaMarr, but I am guilded, as that is what I am running now. My dogs regularly catch rabbits, but have the brains to slow down when needed.

I have one male that won the Big Pack World Hunt last year and was the Combination Bench and Field Champion at the World this year. Greg Brown bred my Dutch dog and I think he has a couple of bitches bred now. You can reach him at (937)288-2205.

You could not go wrong with breeding to any of LaMarrs Studs or getting a pup from Greg his dog Bogus who sired Dutch is a son of Little Pack HOF Spicers Blueback. Not all are Bluetick though. There are some that are Black and Tan with Redtick. Bluebelly has a fair amount of Bluetick doesnt he LaMarr, and he is a son of BlueBack also, thats as close as you are going to get anymore.

I own a Female that is out of Blue Back, and Spicers Ginger, and is the litter mate to Blue Belly. My friends and I just breed her to Greg Brown's Blue Bogus dog yesterday. I guess this is going to be a pretty good Blue Back Litter.

 The dog that I own is not out of Spicer's Ginger, she is out of Spicer's Hunter. Had a rough night last night. Still not awake.
