Darn it all, my hubby said not to post last night and had to erase it all because I must have been reading more into it! You know what I tell them when they say my little hound looks fat and must be a couch potatoe is that she is NOT fat just too short for her weight, JUST LIKE ME ;)
Thing is some hounds could eat a couple extra pieces of kibble or dive into the cat food and it all goes to their hips and butt :???: Gosh that sure sounds familiar! Took alot of work to get her weight down even with her running all the time.

Anyhow here are some pics you all might enjoy of her as a pup not long after we brought her home. Got looking at these and got a kick out of them~

Bev said, "Okay, some of Sally's dogs are fat and a couple of them *gasps* live in the house - she's a sucker for a sad face," For the record so is my wife which is why she allows me indoors! What nobody mentioned about Sally's hounds is that she NEVER feeds them at all and if they are heavy it is simply because they are superb hunters and they only get to eat what they can catch. And for you Nor Wester: the correct response to your wife and her concern over a fat appearing ass in her jeans, had better be somethig along the lines of....."It just takes my breath away".....as you gasp....! If your smart anyway, and want save your own behind! ;)

Those are some great looking dogs (even the fat ones ;) ).

I just got my first bluetick tonight but dont have a picture yet.

I dont know much about them so just for curiosity what did crossing with a bluetick add to them?

Ok here are some pics of my little 10 month old bluetic. Yes he is a spoiled house dog but hopefully after a couple of weeks with in the starting pen he will be up and running strong.

Here is my male at about 14 months.
He is now 20 months.
I'd trade him for a poodle that would run a rabbit :P

Just kidding, he is good hound but still needs some work.

Right, but I was wondering what the cross was supposed to add to the beagle breed?

Better nose or what?
