Hard earned Adirondack Hare

Post by New York Hillbilly »

Just thought I would show some pics of camp in Adirondacks and one hard earned hare. We put the miles on for this one! Hounds are Ginger and Chickadee.

copperking,
Hey...is that an invite? I had a blast up there for sure and would love to come back up. We went again last week and my Ginger got nailed by a Porky and I had to pull about 20 quillls out of her leg just above the elbow joint. First porky I ever ran into in the field in years since I was just a kid. What a mess! It broke my heart to have her in pain like that. And it was so hard on her to carry her back to the truck that I had to take the long way back to camp letting her walk in the broken trail. I need to get someplace where there are more hares to run because we are working way to hard to get what we can here. It looks like you have some good running and some nice hounds too. When does your season end?

Ny hillbilly,
Talk about cold! I got frostbite on my face was so bad, had a terrible wind storm and had to cut trees down to get out, we were up in the Adirondacks. Was the weekend of 02-17-06. Had a great hunt though. Worth the frostbite!! Did you ever get my pm about the dog from Tennesee? Going to Boonville, Ind. this weekend drop me a line.

Hey Mike,
Thats a spiffy beard you're sporting there! No, I did not get the pm you are talking about. When and where did you send it? Were you hunting hare with my beagle club buddy Bill T.? Looks like you have some better running up as far as you go, I was quite a bit south of where you go and had to beg to even cut a track. :( Drop me a personal pm and let me know how you have been and what you have planned for your upcoming trip. I wanted to go run in the Redneck thing but am getting my chops broke at work. I will get to go to the Kentucky state hunt but looks like getting away from work sooner is going to be a real longshot! I like the looks of those hounds of yours especially the little lemon one. :D

4 of em

Post by trackman »

Copper,
4 of em were. Grouse was not me. The lemon dog belongs to a buddy of mine Dom. You know me I want the B&T. I would love to come and hunt, if I can squeeze it in I will. Can I bring someone with me? I know a guy who would love to go. I will be away in Ind for the next 4-5 days at the Ev Morgan, give me a call after next Tues and we will try and work on a date. I would love to see MD2020 again, and Pete...
Also would enjoy seeing Copper run again, he sure can burn a hare.
