Is Rabies Vacc. safe on pregnant bitch?

Post by Frank7ptbk »

My female was bred last week and I was wondering if it is safe to get her rabies vaccination and to give her the yearly vaccinations also, the yearly I do myself and she is due for her yearly in Feb.

Thanks,

I would not give her vaccines until she finishes nursing. I would also separate vaccines because giving rabies and the rest at the same time is a total overload for the immune system. I have a beagle that has had an allergic reaction to rabies vaccine. She is not a pretty sight and has been very difficult to deal with. Read about vaccine damage- I can post some information if you want some. Vaccines are being linked to immune system diseases. hypothyroid, cancer and strange behaviour. Research is showing initial puppy and 1 year vaccines produce enough immunity for up to 7 years yet vets still pump it to the dogs every year. Humans don't do that, why are we doing it to dogs???? My latest bandwagon, being a victim to the poison that is in the vaccines. Carolyn

Little late on the draw here :P Wont hurt her any to wait on the vaccines until after she whelps. Next time you could vaccinate before breeding. I hear that it increases immunity in pups. Might research that a bit. They have done research as carolyn mentioned. However my vet recommends if you have a dog which goes out only to do its duty and never runs loose they can have DHLPP every three years. Every two years for those middle class canines who do some running around but are less likely to be exposed, and for those fine tuned hunting hounds we have the vet mentioned every year where as they are exposed to a heck of alot more. ;)
