I'm betting on Tony Upton's Sangamo Max dog.

Wrongside Randy,

Smooth Running Buck is a litter mate to Fear the Big Digger. They are also littermates to Josh Long's Survivor and Tiger dog and Brad Crouch's BJ dog. One heck of a litter...... Swartz's BriarPatch Big Time and Licking River Macy cross....

I have heard that Buck was the youngest dog to ever Grand out in PP. Don't know it for sure, but been told so.

BJ is a LP world hunt winner, the Tiger dog has won the LP Little World the last two years, Survivor is tough and Digger is too! I would love to own any of them... They would put you in the winners circle.

Thanks for the info guys! So is Sammy Wells--- Smooth Running Kennels?

Craig, I remember when Buck was for sale a few years back. I would have liked to have owned him, but I couldnt find a partner. I do remember being told he went from open to PP Grand Champion in less than 10 trials, and he wasnt very old at that time. I was thinking Mag38num bought him, but not sure.

How old is that litter now anyway..... 5 ?

Take care,
Randy

Sammy Wells and Mark Swartz bought Digger and he just kept the name the same. Most of Sam's dogs that he raised from pups will have his last name on them "Well's Big Bomber". The Digger dog runs and awesome track, He isn't real fast but he doesn't break down much so there aren't going to be a lot of 15 second checks with him in the pack. On a twisting rabbit he is deadly, On a stretching out long running rabbit he can be out footed especially by a dog that cuts and swings big, but if the dog guesses wrong Digger will make him pay. He is also a good jump dog to boot. The Dozer dog is deadly on a running rabbit so he will be at the top somewhere.

ALL JOKING ASIDE,

I AM STILL PULLING FOR THE KY BOYS BECAUSE I KNOW THEM WELL, BUT I REALLY HOPE THAT MR. PETERS WINS THAT CHAMPIONS BECAUSE I THINK THAT WILL GIVE HIM ENOUGH POINTS FOR DIXIE TO GO INTO THE HALL OF FAME. THAT WOULD BE NICE TO SEE HIM DO THAT.

I THINK THAT WOULD MEAN ALOT TO HIM!

I would say that a nobody will win..But its the run-off. Not a nobody in it. But i do think its going to be a dog nobody expects... Good luck to all...

Steve.......Thats what has me confused, I think Bobby is Talk that Talk Kennels. And from what I am understanding Sammy Wells is Smooth Running Kennels. Neither Bobby or Sammy had Buck for sale when I was interested in him, it was some other guy from Ohio that Matt knows and I am sure you know him as well, he may of even owned that Boone dog that you handled at Danville that time that was for sale.......remember that dog?

Was Sammy the breeder of this litter that produced Buck, Digger, Tiger, Survivor and BJ???

Thanks for the info.

Randy,

I will try and answer this, hopefully it will be correct.

No, Sammy Wells is not Smooth Running Kennel. He got the dog from them and probably has never changed the paperwork. He always puts "Wells ____" as his kennel name on dogs. As far as I know either Josh Long or Brad Crouch made the cross, I think I remember Sammy saying it was Josh because I had asked him about the Macy female and he said I would need to ask Josh about her. I can't answer anything about who is Smooth Running Kennel nor can I say what Bobby Trent's kennel name is.
