What are the boxes made of, is it all aluminum? If not, what's on the inside, etc.? How much do they go for?

I had a owans tool box.

I had nothing but problems with it.

I called the company and they offerd to do a little but not enough.

Mill Creek custom built a box for me and gave me a life time garuntee.

So they get my busniess from now on.

The owans box is up north on my farm trucks with holes drilled in the bottom for drainage. Yeap it leaked that bad.

What type of Mill Creek box did you have built? Do you have any pics? Those seem like the best looking boxes I've ever seen. How do you like the craftsmanship, quality, etc.?

My box is constructed from wood with metal on the outside. As you can see from the pictures there is trim over all seams. It has all welded doors with clasps that allow a lock on them. This is nice because you can get padlocks that are all keyed the same so your not fumbling with 3 different keys to unlock your dogs. Mine is taller than the gate on my truck and the storage hangs over the tailgate. This is nice because it promently displays my vinyl lettering plus it makes it a touch easier to get into.

I can't get over how good that box looks. What are the approx. dimensions of your box and how many beagles does it hold? Does anyone have a phone # for Mill Creek? BTW - how much did it run you? You can PM me if you'd like. I'm worried about leaks and rotting wood. How well is that taken care of? Thanks!

I have an old box that is built like this. All wood construction covered and sealed with Aluminum. Thes are good boxes if you don`t leave them in you truck all the time. The floor was the first thing to go on mine. I replaced it and this is still a solid box. Now I have a big truck and a little truck. I bought a aircraft ALUM. box for my little truck. It isn`t nearly as pretty but there is no wood to rot out. It is much lighter. I can load it in either truck by myself easily. I can`t say that for my big box. I have to slide it in and out. The Millcreek boxes look to be prices right. I pulled their website up, and I am impressed. Still, I would buy one of the aircraft aluminum boxes any day over these. They are in the same price range. There are several people making these now, Dan Deluxe boxes advertise in the magazines alot. I don`t care for these doors. I like the doors on mine better. They are Alum. square tubing welded up and seem to be alot more solid feeling than the Dans box doors. The guy that built mine will be @ the World Hunt, but I don`t know his name.

Millcreek boxes have a wooden core. I wa going to buy one of theirs until I found that out. I'm looking at the K-9 Classic. I like the looks and the price but like you I haven't found out if they have a wood core yet.
