It is a perfect evening. Wind has died down and you can hear a mile. The hounds are going crazy to go run ( because they know it is a perfect night). You load up and turn loose. Just a moment of silence and Bawl Chop Squall Chop Chop. They pound like never before. Running check free and never missing a beet. You listen for over an hour then they shut up. You know they had to have caught it, and they did. You leash them up and go home. When you load the dogs in the box you think of what great dogs you have......those are the days that make you smile......those are the days that make you get through the bad days...
Cheer up bud!!!
Cheer up bud!!!
good for me
My Wildlife tracking unit went tits-up and I sent it in for repairs. Wildlife called yesterday at noon and said they were ready to send it home. Today (the next day) at 6 P.M. the UPS truck drove in my yard. From Ill. to Washington state in 30 hours.

(kidding))!!!!!!
No need to be depressed Herald! All this stuff about suspensions, cheating, etc etc yada yada yada is the squeaky wheel wanting greased. Dont take me wrong, I do enjoy trials too. What I enjoy about field trials is 1) fellowship with those that love beagling like me, 2) eating like a pig at lunch, 3) listening to the "music" 4) eating, 5)getting to look at dogs from many different lines do their thing in the field, 6) eating. A person has to take this trialing thing with the proper perspective......the best dog down that day dont always win, sometimes it seems more than not, but thats not really why I go anyhow, referring to the above reasons like eating, etc...
There will always be a few whiners no matter what happens. I just ignore them and enjoy myself as best I can!
Here's the best news yet........Jesus loves you!

My dogs are better looking then my neighbor! No not his dogs, him! LOL Hare antidote for depression, 1. take one or more beagles, 2. go to private honey hole, 3. turn loose dog(s), enjoy the music and the enthusiam of the little fellas doing what they were bred for. 4. Take in liberal doses until condition passes. Good luck. Hare

I went hunting Wednesday. Beagles ran every rabbit except one to a hole or to a kill. I only got one shot of which I missed. However the dogs ran the next rabbit until they caught it. So, thanks to my beagles I was one for one for the day.

I am with darrin. I go for the fellowship and watching different dogs run. Its all about the dogs, and all they want at the end of the day is a pat on the head, food, water and a warm place to sleep. They could care less about a trophy or points. There just happy to get out and do what they love.
Take your dog hunting today

Well i'm going to a field trial myself in the AM if alls well, and I expect to have a good time win or lose and I lose more often then win, I was only kidding about being depressed but a little humor from others does the body good and I loved the one where they same some money by switching to geico and I appreciaate the spiritual one because trhat is for sure a help in the time of need, I was trying to enlighten all this negative stuff and have some fun, I'll let you know if i get a free lunch tommorow out of some of them Loundon county boys hahaha
I have been singing along with my children to a cd that some people at a church in Lexington, Ky made. My son's Bible Class teacher came upstairs and handed me a piece of paper. He had written the lyrics as well as he could. It said, "rjoies in the Lord alwaas and agin I say rjoies." From the pencil of a 6-year old I had to be reminded that no matter what, I need to be rejoicing. Or, as he in his pure heart put it, RJOIES. (The song is a reference to Philippians 4:4). TN, if this doesn't lift you up, check your pulse.
