vet question????
wanted to see if anybody has had this to happen?? about a year and a half ago, I was hunting one of my females, the pack crossed the road, and she came out stumbling like her front legs were rubberbands, just the front her back legs were good and she was still wanting to go but when she would try to stand on her front legs she would fall. this happened twice over a one year period to her. I thought it was some sort of seizure or low blood sugar. then last night, I had another one of my females out, and the same thing happened to her, the symptoms were exactly the same. after it happens and I pack them to the truck they are fine. I ran the one from last night again this morning and she was fine, ran strong all morning, no problems at all. my question is could it be the dog food im feeding since it has happened to two of my dogs. I WAS feeding pride black bag 24/20. any input would be helpful. I have heard of a couple guys having the same problem.

Re: vet question????
Some would say it could be the feed, like myself. Others would argue the 1st three ingredients in pizza are all the same, but we all know all pizza isnt created equal. In all seriousness i can tell ya 10 years ago i had hounds that started taking seizures, i stopped feeding Purina Hi (corn) Pro and switched to feeds without corn and have not had a problem since. Was that the issue, i dunno, but i dont need the services of a vet but 1-2 times every 5 years or so if then and have good looking healthy hounds. Good feed and lots of fresh water and exercise does a hound wonders. I think the feed would be the easiest place to start.

Re: vet question????
I can't say for sure if it was the feed or not, but if you think it is, you might want to give victor a try. Victor is corn, soy, and gluten free. Your dogs could be having an allergic reaction to something in what you been feeding them. I feed red bad of victor 24-20, I like it very much. Jmo
