akc papers question
if i buy a dog from some one and they cant find there papers only pedigree who has to call akc and get papers, them or can i do it myself
Re: akc papers question
The breeder has to get the papers. Was the litter registered? If so he can request a duplicate registration application for you r dog. If the dog has been registered, the owner listed on the registration certificate must request a duplicate.

IMO, the litter should be registered before pups are sold. I'd be concerned if he can't find papers or offered to send them later. Reputable breeders keep their paperwork current.
