Sick dog...What do you guys think

Dog hasnt ate in three days skinny been going on for a couple months got rid of the heartworms. 2 months ago had blood work and his kidney counts were high. Took him to vet again today for another blood test to see if the kidney and liver count has gotten worse or better after the heartowrms and meds. Blood was almost black in color they gave him an iv but im afraid hes done and just holding on. Whats the dark blood mean or has anyone seen that... results from blood test wont be bakc tell thursday

some one may correct me but i have always heard red blood is a better chance of getting better than dark blood. dark blood comes from the stomach and small intestine while red blood comes from the large intestine..

Black blood means that it is coagulating in the circulatory system. It is a bad deal. Did they give him blood thinners as well? Somewhere your dog is bleeding from the inside out and they need to find out where and fix it.
