Chaps work just fine in warm weather. I've never had any problems with them.

wouldnt recomend nite lite brand.. i have a nite lite coat and am not at all impressed with it. as for chaps i wear filson double tin and really like them. i wore my canvas bibs with brush panels on the legs the other day and man was i suprised how they did not protect me from the briars like my chaps.

good luck
