cloudy eye with pus

I have a 2 yr old gyp whose eyes are full of white-yellow pus. At first I thought it was just allergies because she runs hard. I irrigated and cleared pus out of both eyes and found that one of them is clouded over and at the bottom has a red spot at the bottom of the iris almost like she ran a stick in her eye or something. I've never seen any injury to her eye after running, so I don't know what's going on. We've brought her inside to keep an eye (haha) on it. Started her on antibiotics. Going to keep giving her benadryl and irrigate the eyes on a regular basis. If the antibiotics don't start clearing up the pus in a couple days, I'm going to get her to a vet. Anyone ever seen this before?
