Re: Front line plus
I use bio-spot every month and it seems to work well. It's about $20 a 6-month dose through a catalog called lion country supply. I've never noticed flees on my dogs and they're kenneled on the ground. I was told however that all dogs that are outside and even house dogs that go outside will pick up flees. The flees will bite then die because of the medicine and therefore not lay eggs. Not sure if that is true but makes some sence. Plus I sprinkled 7-dust this year and I think that may also help.

Re: Front line plus
Frontline Spray is very effective ansd it kills on contact and you spray the whole dog except eyes and mouth area. It is much cheaper and still lasts a month. You can get it from thomas Vets one bottle treates several hounds for several months for around 28 bucks.
BioSpot has been known to cause some very serious problems in many dogs. I had two dogs have seizures from it. They even have a website about it: http://biospotvictims.org/

Re: Front line plus
I have used Frontline Plus for almost 2 years. Recently I was at the vet over a different reason and talked with him about Frontline and the fact I have seen a few fleas. His recommendation is to switch to something else every 3 months or so. He is afraid fleas are getting use to the ingredients and it needs to be rotated just like wormers for all animals. Made sense to me. He recommended Advantix. I am going to try it. I also talked to a rep from Merrial last week and he said "unofficially" that they are working on a new flea product. Makes me wonder if they see the writing on the wall as well.

I used to do Pest Control for a living.............These flea treatments are no different than the pesticide used for pest control that insects build an immunity to it after being used over and over.
