training my pup

well my pup is 14 weeks old, hes very energetic once he out his pen. his nose hits the ground and his tail starts whipping, iv been using a rabbit with him the last three days, its part swamp amd floppy ear, looks just like a wild , i just let the rabbit in the field and let him go, hes all over it he finially runs it down everytime. my question is while hes in his pen he wont shut up , but he never makes a sound while running the rabbit,should i be concerned or will he eventually start using his mouth while running,thanks

He will start barking on the line eventually. I assume you are using tame rabbits. I have used them in the past but only use wild rabbits now.
